Comprehensive Autism Assessment – Adult

A comprehensive autism assessment involves the following:

 

• 1 hr clinician preparation pre appointment: review of referral, preparing testing materials and other relevant materials: $240

• Combined 2 hour appointment: 1 hr Intake interview and 1 hr in direct assessment of emotion recognition (Eye in the Mind) and cognitive flexibility (TMT and similarities) (online or in-person): $500

• 1 hr Clinical Interview (with a caregiver or partner via telehealth) using the Royal College of Psychiatrists Diagnostic Interview Guide for the Assessment of Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and brief feedback of your assessment: $250

• Various self-report questionnaires

• Adaptive functioning assessment using the Vineland-3 informant (parent or partner) questionnaire

• Liaison with relevant stakeholders regarding comprehensive needs assessment e.g., GP; psychiatrist

• Mental health screening using the PAI 

• Assessment scoring, interpretation, and report writing: $720

 

Estimated cost: $1,710

*A $100 fee for test materials will also be added to each client. Billable at time of booking.

If you would also like to be assessed for ADHD, you will also need: (ADULTS ONLY)

• Additional 30 minutes for a Clinical Interview (with a caregiver or partner via telehealth) using DIVA-5: $125

• Screener questionnaires: BRIEF-A informant (partner or carer), CAARS self-report, WHODAS informant

• Additional hour for assessment scoring, interpretation, and report writing will be billed at the final session: $240

Estimated total cost: $2,175

Comprehensive Autism Assessment – Child

A comprehensive autism assessment involves the following:

 

• 1 hr clinician preparation pre appointment: review of referral, preparing testing materials and other relevant materials: $240

• 1 hr Intake interview (carer only via telehealth): $250

• 1 hr Clinical Interview (carer only via telehealth) using the Kiddie Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia Present and Lifetime Version (K-SADS-PL) for DSM-5: $250

• 1 hr Play/interactive observation with the child/adolescent at their school using the Childhood Autism Rating Scale, Second Edition (CARS-2): $250

  • 1 hr travel for the clinician: $250

• Autism screener questionnaire, the ASSQ parent and teacher versions

• Adaptive functioning assessment using the Vineland-3 parent and teacher questionnaires

• Liaison with relevant stakeholders regarding comprehensive needs assessment e.g., teacher; GP; pediatrician

• Mental health screening using the RCADS parent and child questionnaires

• 30-minute assessment report feedback session (carer only via telehealth): $250

  • Assessment scoring, interpretation, and report writing will be billed at the feedback session: $720

Estimated cost: $2,210

*Plus $1.00 per km travel.
