Clients must be aware this is a screening assessment only, which means that limited conclusions can be drawn. In order to be a comprehensive assessment, review of clinical history, in particular childhood functioning and presentation, completed via structured clinical history interview against DSM-5 criteria will need to be completed with the referrer upon review or with an appropriate practitioner. This will also include a medical evaluation by a GP or medical specialist to rule out any disease, biological, genetic, or neurological causation. Previous school, medical, allied health, vision, and hearing assessment reports should also be reviewed to assist with accurate assessment.

Please note the above is a fee estimate based on the average minimum hours for a comprehensive assessment. The complexity of case may increase the hours required and you will be charged accordingly if this is the case.

General Info

If you choose the comprehensive option, previous school, medical, allied health, vision and hearing assessment reports are strongly encouraged to be provided to assist with accurate assessment. A medical evaluation is also required so you will also need to have been reviewed by a GP or psychiatrist to rule out any disease, biological, genetic, or neurological causation.

Unfortunately there are no Medicare rebates for ADHD assessment, although some private health insurers provide some rebate.
